Those with an interest or connection to the First World War are invited to a special drop-in session at South Ribble Council to discuss 100th anniversary commemoration plans.
The council’s Armed Forces Champion, Coun Alan Ogilvie, said: “We want the community to get involved and to help mark this significant moment in history that dramatically affected so many lives across South Ribble. We’d like to hear local residents’ stories and see any pictures or memorabilia that you may wish to be included in the museum exhibition, or as part of the ‘Our Lives’ documentary.
“There’ll also be a chance to see the latest plans for the new memorial and to tell us your ideas for commemorative events that you’d like to see included over the next four years.”
The session will be on May 1 at the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, from 4-7pm.
