A health and wellbeing event is being held for Chorley and South Ribble residents to get practical advice from professionals on mental, physical and social health.
There will be question-and-answer sessions with health and social care providers, experts and commissioners.
Named Health And Happiness In Your Hands, the event runs from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday, May 6, in the Lancastrian Suite at Chorley Town Hall.
It is supported by Chorley Council, Lancashire County Council, South Ribble Council and Lancashire Care Foundation Trust, as well as health and social care partners.
Coun Hasina Khan, chairman of Chorley’s Equality Forum, worked with Lancashire County Council to put together the event.
She said: “By putting on events that bring together people of all different backgrounds, it’s a great way to share best practice and we can get a better idea of what services need improving.”
It follows an event held last year where Lancashire County Council’s disability and sensory impairment forums from across the county discussed the delivery of services for disabled, blind and deafblind residents.
