A task group is asking for help as it looks into complaints procedures at residential care homes across the county.
Set up by Lancashire County Council’s Health Scrutiny Committee, it is asking anyone who has had concerns about an older person in residential care to come forward, whether or not they went through a formal complaint process.
County Coun Chris Henig, chairman of the Care Complaints task group, said: “We are committed to working with local people and the care home industry to ensure that we have a failsafe complaints system here in Lancashire.
“We have already found a great deal of confusion around about the complaints process and need to ensure that we have a system that inspires confidence and works to protect the vulnerable.”
The task group will make its recommendations in early December.
