Walkers young and old are being encouraged to take part in a sponsored walk to help a local hospice.

Sainsbury’s Garstang, in partnership with The Legacy Rainbow House, are running The Garstang Rainbow Ramble on Saturday, September 29, a 10 mile walk around Garstang designed for all abilities starting and finishing at the Garstang superstore.

From 11am, adults and children alike can take part in the ramble and, should your weary feet neet a pick up, pit stops will be located along the way.

Entry is £10 for adults, £5 for children, with wheelchairs and prams able to enter for free. All proceeds raised will be going to The Legacy Rainbow House who help children to overcome their disabilities and provide support for their families.

Joanne Mawdesley, founder of The Legacy Rainbow House said: “The funds from the walk would enable The Legacy Rainbow House to implement their services for disabled children more in rural communities and would give the community better cohesion and understanding of children with disabilities in the community”.

Entry forms can be picked up from Sainsbury’s Garstang or on www.thelegacyrainbowhouse.com.

Deadline for entries is Monday 24th September.

For all further enquiries please call The Legacy Rainbow House 01704 823276.
