David Morris, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale, has spent a morning touring wards at Royal Lancaster Infirmary to talk to staff and patients about the service and health in general.
He said: “I have spent a lot of time over the last few years talking to regulators and talking to Ministers about improving the RLI.
“I wanted to spend some time this year talking to patients and staff about how the hospital is improving and what can be done to further improve things at the RLI. “Also it was important to me to say thank you to the staff.”
He is planning to make regular visits to the hospital.
