The health trust which runs hospitals in central Lancashire has been named as a finalist for five awards in the national Health Service Journal awards.
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Chief Executive, Karen Partington, has been shortlisted in the ‘Chief Executive of the Year’ category.
Dr Fergus Jepson, who is the Clinical Leader of the Specialist Mobility Rehabilitation Centre has been named as a finalist in the ‘Clinical Leader of the Year’ category.
The Outpatient Parental Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) Team has been shortlisted in the ‘Secondary care service redesign’ category.
Two projects have also been nominated in the ‘acute sector innovation’ category. Stuart Heys, Chairman of the Trust said: “We have been working hard on various initiatives that help us to provide excellent care with compassion for our patients and it’s great that our efforts and staff are being recognised.”
