More than 300 health professionals united to celebrate their achievements at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust’s annual Staff Awards ceremony.
The event was held at the DeVere Hotel, Herons Reach in Blackpool and successful staff won awards in 10 categories.
These included the chairman’s award for Unsung Hero, an award dedicated to compassionate care and a service user and carer involvement award.
This year, the trust added the People’s Choice Award which gave members of the public the opportunity to vote for a health professional or team who has made a real difference to their healthcare experience.
Heather Tierney-Moore, chief executive at Lancashire Care, said: “I know I’m not alone when I say I really look forward to the Staff Awards ceremony and celebrating some of the outstanding work that goes on throughout different areas of the county.
“It was great to see so many people attend to celebrate their achievements and the achievements of others.
“The staff and work that has been shortlisted this year was inspirational and I hope that each and every member of staff who was nominated feels proud of their achievement.”
Winners were presented with a trophy. Visit: www.lancashirecare.nhs.uk
