The 1940s will be brought to life with a bang in Lancashire this weekend.

From the darkest days of Dunkirk, through the blitz and hard times on the home front to D-Day and victory in Europe and Asia, visit Lytham’s Wartime Weekend this Saturday and Sunday and you can immerse yourself in a brilliant weekend of entertainment, re-enactment and have-a-go activity.

Events and attractions include a huge range of historic vehicles, replica Spitfires, music and dance, memorabilia, thrilling battle re-enactments, educational talks and demonstrations plus a living history camp.

Why not pick up the latest war winning gardening and food tips or even join the Home Guard?

Listen to the sounds of the 40s stage as performers sing favourite tunes of that time.

The fun begins at 10am and concludes at 4.30pm each day.
