There’s three weeks left for community groups to bid for grants of up to £30,000.
The scheme run by Preston Council is open to groups that aim to improve the quality of life of local people.
Applications will be considered from voluntary, community and faith sector organisations which demonstrate a contribution to either: sports, arts and culture; tackling economic exclusion or cleaner, greener and safer city.
Cabinet member for community engagement and inclusion Coun Matthew Brown said: “Despite large reductions in the Councils overall budget we remain committed to supporting the voluntary, community and faith sector in Preston through our grant aid support.
“The aim of these grants is to improve the quality of life for local people, to ensure that all members of the community have a voice and to invest in local organisations that are in a position to provide high quality services that make a significant contribution to communities.”
Applications must be received by November 22. Call 01772 903429 for info.
