A £15,000 Green Grant Scheme has been launched for Chorley residents.
Green fingered individuals, resident groups, community groups and garden clubs are invited to bid for the chance to secure one of thirty £500 grants which are set to be awarded through the Adactus Housing Group scheme.
Mike Murphy, Regional Manager at Chorley Community Housing (CCH), part of the Adactus Housing Group, said: “Spring is here and so is our new £15,000 Green Grant scheme. We can’t wait to hear what exciting ideas Chorley residents come up with and look forward to seeing the benefit that these green projects will bring to our communities.”
Grants will be awarded for ‘green ideas’ to improve the local environment, save energy or recycle. Entrants are encouraged to be creative and ideas could include cleaning up or greening an area, creating a wildlife garden to encourage bio diversity, to purchase energy-saving equipment or for community food growing projects.
Projects should be of benefit to areas where Adactus Housing Group have properties and entrants must be able to fully utilise the grant award within six months.
