Plans for a grand country house, previously thrown out as “inappropriate” by councillors, have been recommended for approval again.

A revised application for “Bux House” at Langley Lane in Goosnargh has been lodged with Preston Council by agents Cassidy and Ashton on behalf of the Bux family.

The original designs were narrowly rejected at a previous meeting on the casting vote of chairman Coun Brian Rollo, but now the plans have been recommended for the green light by planning bosses.

A report to councillors said: “The proposed dwelling would create a country mansion in modern day terms for a local businessman who wishes to apply creative innovative architecture and landscape design to form a contemporary country house for his family and their future generations.”
