Chorley’s First Citizen is calling for people to pull on their gladrags for two charity fundraisers.

Coun John Walker is holding a Valentine’s ball on Friday, featuring a Michael Buble and Robbie Williams tribute act.

It will be followed on Friday, March 28 with a charity gala hosted by comedian Dave Spikey.

Coun Walker said: “We’ve got two amazing events coming up with some fantastic acts and I’m really looking forward to both evenings. With two star-studded line-ups, people can have a fun-filled night out while also raising money for two great charities – Derian House and the Alzheimer’s Society.”

Both events will be held in the Lancastrian Suite at Chorley Town Hall.

The Valentine’s ball starts at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £35 per person, £250 for a table of eight or £300 for a table of 10. It includes a buffet, disco and tombola.

Tickets for the gala cost £20, which includes refreshments. To book, call 01257 515151 or email mayors.secretary@chorley.gov.uk.
