Go on a Voyage of Discovery this summer in Preston.
The workshops at the Harris will take families on a Voyage of Discovery this Saturday, July 26, between 10am and 3pm.
There are lots of free activities on offer for landlubbers and sea dogs of all ages, inspired by the museum’s summer exhibition, Making Waves: Art Inspired by the Sea!
Children will be able to make their own sea-inspired sculptures and create an ocean in a bottle; handle objects found at Preston Dock; hear Stories of the Sea in writing and poetry workshops; play sea-themed games; and join in the Movement of the Sea workshop with theatre company, La Petite Mort.
There will also be sea shanties with the Liverpool Shanty Kings.
