Having identified that many residents would like to carry out work in their gardens but aren’t able to do so because they don’t have the right tools, Chorley Community Housing (CCH) have launched a new scheme to help.

The Garden Tool Hire scheme is open to all CCH tenants and is completely free of charge.

The tools, which include lawn mowers, trimmers, forks, spades and cutting sets, will be available to hire for half or full day slots, dependant on the level of work required.

All tenants need to do is telephone a member of CCH’s neighbourhood team to book in.

Amy Davis, neighbourhood development officer, said: “We are really excited to launch this new scheme, aimed at helping our tenants to improve the look of their gardens, which should in turn benefit the appearance of the wider area. Everyone’s a winner.”

For more information, or to book a tool hire slot, call a member of the CCH neighbourhood team on 01257 244800.
