Police have issued a new appeal for information about a man who has been missing from home for more than three weeks.

Ronald Fleetwood, 56, was last seen in the Peace Garden in Preston city centre just over a week ago, 15 days after he vanished from his home in Stanley Road, Heysham. He has not made contact with his family since.

The last reported sighting was in the Preston area last week and I would urge anyone who may have seen him since, or who has any information on his whereabouts, to get in touch with us

Officers believe he may be using canal towpaths to get around.

Mr Fleetwood is described as stocky, with receding fair hair and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a green winter coat, jeans and had carrying a holdall.

PC Steve Bould of Lancaster Police said: “It has been over three weeks since Ronald went missing from home and his family are becoming increasingly concerned about him.

“The last reported sighting was in the Preston area last week and I would urge anyone who may have seen him since, or who has any information on his whereabouts, to get in touch with us.

“Similarly, I would also urge Ronald himself, if he sees this appeal, to contact us or his family to let us know he is safe.”

Anyone with information can contact Lancashire Police on 101 quoting incident reference LC-20150411-0595.

Alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken.
