Footballer scores own goal with naked photo
Love-sick former Preston North End striker David Nugent tried to score with a 19-year-old – by sending a naked picture of himself to her mobile phone.
The girl, aged 19, who had only recently met Nugent, was stunned after receiving the full-frontal picture from the forward, who left Preston North End for Portsmouth in a 6m summer transfer.
She immediately forwarded the image to all her friends in the city.
One of them told a national newspaper: "There are a lot of Preston fans who are cheesed off about him leaving – so this is payback."
It is thought Nugent met the shop worker, who has not been identified, during a night out in a city centre bar.
