On March 10, for the first time ever, South Ribble Borough Council will be flying a flag to mark Commonwealth Day.

At 10am, the Mayor of South Ribble, Councillor Dorothy Gardner, will raise one of 500 flags which will be flown simultaneously across the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man at the Civic Centre, Leyland with 40 pupils from Woodlea Junior and St Andrew’s Infant Schools also taking part in the event.
