A garden shed was among items binned as part of a community clean-up.
The community clear-out was held in Buckshaw Village and saw more than five tonnes of rubbish dumped.
Two skips were put on Unity Place and the car park off Old Worden Avenue so people could rid themselves of their unwanted rubbish.
Chorley Council joined forces with South Ribble Council to provide the skips to deter people from flytipping and reduce unwanted waste.
More than five tonnes of waste was dumped in the skips and taken away – including an 8ft by 8ft shed a resident no longer wanted.
The event was also supported by Lancashire Fire and Rescue and the local neighbourhood policing team.
