A string of companies and organisations are to give updates to residents on plans to develop in a new Lancashire village.

The community association at Buckshaw Village, which lies between Leyland and Chorley, is inviting Buckshaw residents to a rescheduled residents meeting being held on November 1 from 7.30pm at Buckshaw Community Centre.

The residents meeting which was arranged for September 20 had to be re-scheduled as the electricity to the Community Centre was “compromised” by the other building work going on in the area.

A number of organisations will present at the re-scheduled session, including: Waitrose, which will pdate on build progress and also recruitment information; Buckshaw Village Surgery, with a update on new surgery build and opening announcement; Eden Park which will update on the retail development near Tesco; Barratts will talk about the Kings Point Development Update following new plans that have been submitted

A statement from the Buckshaw Village Community Association (BVCA), said: “BVCA Residents Meetings are an opportunity for the community to come together and hear updates about Buckshaw, get a first glance about new developments that are in progress and receive up to date information on services that are available in the area.”

The police will also provide an update at the meeting as well as Trinity Buckshaw School, The Hub community venue and Hillcrest Vets.

A number of other organisations will also attend the meeting.
