JCB diggers filled with water was just one method firefighters used to break down the large wood stack fire.

It is the second recycling centre blaze this week after more than 100 firefighters from across the county attended a fire at Recycling Lives, off Longridge Road, Preston, on Thursday night.

It is unknown how the fire was started and an investigation into the cause will continue.
