More than 20 firefighters were called to tackle a blaze in the roof of a terraced house in Leyland this afternoon.
Four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended the blaze in Somerset Road.
The alarm was raised around 1.25pm by an eye-witness reporting the building on fire.
A fire brigade spokesman said: “We sent four fire engines and an ALP to the scene. The fire involved a terraced property and the fire was in the roof space.
“There was a lot of smoke. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus gained entry to the property with a hose reel.
“At this stage there is nothing to suggest what caused the fire and we have no reports of anyone being in the property or anyone rescued.”
