A Citroën driver had to be cut out of her car following a crash in Lancaster this afternoon.

Firecrews from Lancaster and Morecombe were called just after 4pm to the collision just off Morecombe Road and the Bay Gateway.

“A lady with suspected neck and spine injuries had to be cut out of a car,” said Morecombe watch manager Steve Brown from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

“She was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

“The other driver was uninjured.”
