Police have issued a new appeal for information about a man who has been missing from home in Heysham, near Morecambe, for more than two weeks.

Ronald Fleetwood, 56, went missing from his home address on Stanley Road at 11.30pm on Monday April 6 and has not made contact with his family since.

His last reported sighting was at the Peace Garden in Preston town centre on Tuesday 21 April. Officers believe he may be using canal towpaths to get around.

Mr Fleetwood is described as white, stocky build with receding fair hair and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a green winter coat, jeans and had a holdall.

PC 538 Steve Bould of Lancaster Police said: “It has been over two weeks since Ronald went missing from home and his family are becoming increasingly concerned about him.

“He last reported sighting was in the Preston area last week and I would urge anyone who may have seen him since or who has any information on his whereabouts to get in touch with us.

“Similarly, I would also urge Ronald himself, if he sees this appeal, to contact us or his family to let us know he is safe.”
