It was hardly a winter wonderland...
But the wet and windy weather didn’t detract from the rather unusual scenes at Avenham and Miller Parks this weekend.
Scores of keen runners, all in colourful fancy dress, braved the elemments turned up at the park pavilion for the Preston Park Run.
The fancy dress theme was to celebrate the final Park Run before Christmas - and plenty were in the festive spirit, with santas, jesters and fantasy creatures all completing the 5km course around Avenham and Miller Parks.
The Preston Park Run is a free weekly 5km event, run entirely by volunteers, where runners go up against the clock around the course.
Anyone can take part and the event is free – but first time runners must register in advance.
