The family of a Blackpool man killed after a head-on collision paid tribute to him today.
Eric Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash on Lytham Road, Warton, on Monday.
The 28-year-old had been driving a Citroen Saxo car towards Lytham when the car collided with a Mercedes Benz travelling in the opposite direction.
In a statement his family said: “Eric was hard working, easy going and was absolutely adored by all his family and friends.
“He loved to be outdoors, had a good sense of humour and had the ability to make everyone laugh.
“He will be sadly missed and always loved.”
A Facebook page set up in his honour by friend Samantha Lawless saw heartfelt messages left to Mr Sanders.
David Simpson said: “So sorry for your loss.”
Callum Hunter said: “Rip bud.”
Ms Lawless added: “...broken ain’t even close to how I feel – emotional overload.”
The incident, which happened around 9pm, saw the road closed for six hours to allow collision investigators to carry out their work.
The driver of the Mercedes Benz, a 24-year-old man from Preston, and a 24-year-old female passenger, also from Preston, were taken to Royal Preston Hospital with lower back fractures, where they remain.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to call 101.
