The FA Cup is to make a special appearance at the Hayrick pub in Clayton-le-Woods on Saturday, March 16 from 3pm to 7pm.

The Hayrick is was one of eight pubs to have won the opportunity after beating thousands in a nationwide Budweiser competition.

The event gives locals, Lancashire football teams and families the opportunity to have a once in a lifetime photograph with the world famous FA Cup.

Licensee Dave Dargan, said: “Thousands of people entered the competition on the day and I cannot believe we have won.

“I am delighted for our local football teams and sports fans, it’s a dream come true.

“They never thought they would get a chance to hold such a famous and iconic part of British football history.

“I look forward to The FA Cup’s arrival and I would like to welcome customers to come and celebrate with us and join in the fun and help our charity appeal.”

There will also be a collection for Help for Heroes.
