Latest news from the Lancashire Evening Post

Latest news from the Lancashire Evening Post

The popular Harris Open Exhibition returns this Saturday.

The Harris Open features a huge variety of local artists’ work, with submissions including painting, photography, drawing, print, sculpture, textiles, video, ceramics, collage and much more.

This year the exhibition features works created in response to Preston Guild 2012.

The exhibition highlights the diverse creative talent within Preston, and always attracts large numbers of local artists and makers.

This year there are over 300 submissions on display. During the exhibition many of the artworks will also be for sale - find a one-off piece for your home or pick up unique presents for friends and family.

Alex Walker, Head of Arts and Heritage at Preston Council said: “The Harris Open exhibition acts as a fantastic showcase of the diverse artistic talent to be found in Preston.”

This prizes are sponsored by Granthams Art Supplies.
