An exhibition focusing on staying at home and what it means to people in the care system has been launched.
The Where The Heart Is exhibition, at The Museum of Lancashire, launched with a special event where 100 invited guests, including the Mayor of Preston, Coun Nick Pomfret and the Mayor of South Ribble, Coun Graham Walton, attended.
The display, organised by Age Concern Central Lancashire, represents the culmination of three years’ research.
Linda Chivers, Chief Executive, said: “Age Concern Central Lancashire is very proud to be able to share with people this distinctive and unique exhibition. We feel this exhibition is not only of immense value as a body of work in its own right, but, importantly, also highlights the fact that people in the care system, and people with dementia, have a valuable contribution to make to society.
“We should ensure that these voices are heard and that we take the time to listen.”
The exhibition will open to the public until December 7.
