Nature conservation groups in Lancashire are trying to recruit people to take part in a habitat restoration day.
Tania Crockett, community engagement officer for the Morecambe Bay NIA, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for people to get to know some of the special sites for nature around Warton and to help to improve these places for wildlife.
“You don’t need any experience, just lots of enthusiasm.”
Several local schools have already signed up to take part in the event, which is planned for Tuesday February 25.
The project will see people clearing up some of Morecambe bay’s most cherished sites ready for spring.
The event is hosted by the RSPB, Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Lancashire Wildlife Trust and Butterfly Conservation, as part of the Morecambe Bay Limestones and Wetlands Nature Improvement Area project.
