Lancashire residents are being warned about ‘topsy turvy’ weather this weekend.
The MET Office has issued a yellow wind and rain warning for Preston and surrounding areas until early Saturday morning because of an area of low pressure moving towards Scotland.
Temperatures in central Lancashire will be unseasonably warm on Saturday at around 12 degrees celsius until 4am or 5am tomorrow morning, when an active cold front moves in.
A yellow warning for ice and snow is expected for Sunday morning. Snow is not expected to settle, but could cause poor visability in high winds.
Games on all sports pitches across South Ribble have been called off for the weekend due to waterlogging problems.
