West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper is encouraging local groups to make their voices heard on greenbelt protection.
It comes as the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Greenbelt, a group of Parliamentarians, campaign groups and environmental experts, launches a new enquiry.
The group is calling for evidence and ideas as part of its investigation into greenbelt protection.
Ms Cooper said: “During the Local Plan process future development on greenbelt land proved to be very contentious.
“Many residents and campaign groups remain unsatisfied with the process and the outcome.
“This enquiry is an opportunity for people to have their say on this important debate and offer their ideas on how greenbelt land can be protected.”
