A weekend of industrial action over the Bank Holiday is set to continue as firefighters demand their retirement rights are protected.
Members of the Fire Brigades union (FBU) in the county will continue a series of strikes will take industrial action, from 2pm on Saturday until 2am on Sunday and from 10am until 3pm on Sunday.
The action is the result of a dispute of pensions.
Members of public are being encouraged to be extra vigilant over the bank holiday, when call outs traditionally increase..

Fire crews across the country are in uproar over the government’s plans to raise firefighters’ retirement age from 55 to 60 and increase pension contributions.
It is the latest in a string of short strikes on the issue since September, with the FBU claiming firefighters should be allowed to retire earlier than other workers due to it being a physically demanding job.
