The Lancashire Green Awards are back again for a fifth year, and this year we are pleased to welcome on board Remsol as the principal sponsor of the Awards.
These prestigious awards recognise and celebrate the environmental achievement of individuals and groups of people from across the county however big or small the impact is.
Today we are featuring the Green Community Group Award.
This award category is open to any community group within the Lancashire area that can demonstrate a collective approach to a more sustainable living, from eco friendly organisations to involvement with local community projects
This could include: Working within the community on a project; Waste re-cycling or community clean ups or introducing a green strategy to your community.
And winning the award could really help your community group as last year’s winners explain.
Paula Ireland from last year’s Green Community Group Award winners, the Willow Garden Project, said: “Winning the award has certainly raised our profile.
“Since winning we have been awarded £25,000 from the Asda foundation, it was amazing.”
