Emergency services highlight dangers

Students in Hutton will be issued with a stark reminder about road safety.

Emergency services will act out a live scenario of a crash scene at Hutton Grammar School today to highlight important road safety messages.

The event, which is being conducted as part of the Lancashire Partnership For Road Safety’s ‘Wasted Lives’ programme - will involve members of the local neighbourhood policing team, Lancashire Fire and Rescue, Ambulance and Recycling Lives.

Community Beat Manager PC Kevin Bond said: “Events like this are important to make young people aware of the risks associated with driving so that when they pass their test they understand the responsibility they have and the importance of driving safely.”
