Aspiring young politicians from across Lancashire have been rubbing shoulders with some of the country’s leading parliamentarians.
Six members of the Youth Parliament joined 400 young people at Lancaster University to take part in the annual sitting.
The event brought together members of the UK Youth Parliament (MYPs) from across the country.
The MYPs debated the big issues which will be placed on the UKYP Manifesto for the next year.
They also worked on this year’s Make Your Mark campaign, which is the biggest youth consultation in Europe.
Last year 478,386 young people voted to decide the issues the UK Youth Parliament would campaign on.
The target for this year is to get a million ballots completed by young people across the UK.
Also on the timetable at the event were variety of workshops and debates.
Keynote speakers at the event included the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP and Dr Maggie Atkinson, Children’s Commissioner for England.
