Pupils from primary schools across the Penwortham and Longton areas had a chance to sample ‘Big School’ before they moved up for good.
Priory Academy, in Penwortham, organised a technology day with a difference for feeder primaries.
The youngsters were invited in to the Crow Hills Road school to take part in workshops and events, all based on the theme Protect the Bumble Bee.
The rising year six pupils had a chance to sample each area of technology.
Academy students worked with the younger pupils in workshops covering every area of the technology curriculum from food to design technology and woodwork.
The children worked in teams, mixing up the different school, and the project proved a big hit with teachers and pupils alike.
