Climbing wall session for half term at West View Leisure Centre

Preston youngsters have been reaching new heights over the half term break from school.

The city’s West View Leisure Centre in Ribbleton, opened its climbing wall for the holiday and staff put on special courses to help the public get to grips with the sport.

Special taster session were provided for children and adults alike - with special classes for families to pit their skills against each other on the wall.

The Climbing Centre at West View is popular with groups of all ages and offers a variety of different angled walls to cater for climbers of all abilities.

It is also used for climbing parties and groups - offering tuition up to National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme level.

The centre also has a mobile climbing wall which goes into schools and is also used at public events.
