Studying on Blackburn College’s town centre campus was a logical choice for Faye, who took advantage of the college’s travel pass offer to get to and from Blackburn.

She said: “I came to Blackburn College because everyone seemed so friendly and nice, despite the fact it was out of town. I also came to an event at the college and the tutors seemed really knowledgeable and helpful.

Faye added: “I’m now going to The University of Manchester to do BA (Hons) English Literature with creative writing. My dream is to be a professional writer. I would love to be a novelist or poetry writer someday and this is what I will pursue once I graduate.”

Blackburn College is celebrating some of its best A-Level results, with the numbers of students achieving high grades increasing significantly.
