A Lancashire university is looking for people to help shape its future.
Edge Hill is looking for new members for its board of governors, and is inviting applications from those with significant professional, academic or business experience at a senior level.
As the university is a charity, members on the board are the trustees. They have oversight of the educational character and mission of the university, with specific responsibilities for financial probity and the effective use of resources.
The university is looking for people with a strong interest in higher education, and can demonstrate commitment to the role of the university regionally, nationally and internationally.
The role of governor is not salaried but the majority of meetings are held in the evenings and travel expenses may be paid.
The closing date for applications is February 28, send a full CV and covering letter outlining reasons for applying.
