Students from a city university are planning to serve up a tasty treat next month

Events and hospitality students from the University of Central Lancashire have signed celebrity chef Paul Heathcote to judge their Great UCLan Bake Off.

Paul, who is also an Honorary Fellow of the university, has also agreed to take part in a special question and answer session at the main Preston campus.

Both projects have been organised by the first year students as part of their course work.

They have also designed their own posters for the events.

A number of other events are also in the pipleine.

These include a night with Sue Mott, Kate Walsh and a paralympic athlete on Wednesday March 13
