Really good way to raise charity cash

Pupils in Lancashire are being urged to join the Really Good School Dinner campaign - so that as they empty their school meal plates, they can fill those of some of the world's poorest children.

The 'Really Good School Dinner' which is being run jointly by the UN World Food Programme and the School Food Trust will take place from the 26th to 30th January 2009.

Children will be asked to donate an extra 10p each time they have a school meal during the week.

If each child in Lancashire has just one meal during the week they could potentially raise over 15,700.

All money raised will be channelled into providing a nutritious meal for children attending WFP's school feeding programme in countries such as Cambodia, Kenya and Zambia.
