Bumps and bruises are all part of childhood, but staff at one primary school have taken the safety of their young charges to another level.
Junior pupils at Ashbridge Independent School in Hutton have been learning first aid.
The Lindle Lane school hosted a series of first aid training workshops.
All children from seven to all had expert tuition on the core skills training delivered by St John’s Ambulance.
Staff said the pupils had a great time and were eager to try out their new-found skills on each other as well as the dummies.
A spokeswoman for the school added: “We decided to do this because many people feel it is important that children are first aid trained.”
