Pitch perfect marketing students win competition

Three Marketing students from The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) have been crowned the winners of the annual Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) national Pitch competition.

UCLan’s Innov8 team; Nicola Eagleton, Heather Taylor and Jessica Dodson presented their five-minute pitch in the final of competition alongside teams from Newcastle University, the University of Birmingham and Bangor University.

The pitches were presented to an audience of 250 people at the conference in London and judged by representatives from BPFI Cartons, The CIM and Mintel. The winning team was decided through 50 per cent of judges’ vote and 50 per cent of the audience vote for the best overall pitch.
