Young talented musicians ended their academic year on a high with a gala concert at Chorley Town Hall on Saturday.

Members of Lancashire Music Service’s Youth and Schools Symphony orchestras played a host of classical music and James Bond themes to a sell-out audience.

Stuart Grills, of the Lancashire Music Service, said: “It was a combination of all the work they’ve done throughout the year.

“It was a way of finishing off the year and also an opportunity to say goodbye to those who are leaving to go off to music college or university.”

He added: “It was great, there was a full house.

“The orchestras played very well and it was a lovely evening.”
