Eco-friendly children from Winmarleigh Primary School, near Preston, have been working hard to look after the environment.
In between their normal studies, the pupils at this rural school have been hard at work thinking of ways to improve their outdoor area and garden.
They have also been completing challenges set by the Woodland Trust and have been awarded a gold award for their efforts.
Pupils across the school from reception to Year Six have taken part in the tasks including reducing carbon emissions and encouraging parents and the community to recycle.
They have also created some lovely sculptures and artwork using their wonderful outdoor area and woods for inspiration.
Junior school teacher Sarah Shaw said: “The children have worked in groups and individually to complete the different challenges.
“We are lucky to have an amazing outdoor area at Winmarleigh.
“And it is fantastic to see the children making the most of having this resource on our doorstep.”
