At Lancaster Royal Grammar School 141 students sat a total of 1,527 examinations.
A massive 62 percent of all the GCSEs were graded A or A*, and almost a third of all GCSEs received A* grades.
Headmaster Dr Chris Pyle said: “This is an excellent set of results, and I am delighted with the work that our pupils have put in to achieving them. Well done to each and every one of them on their achievements.
“These results are also a tribute to the outstanding commitment and teaching of our fantastic staff at LRGS.”
Among the exceptional individual results, some 25 students gained seven or more A* grades.
Three students – Michael Padfield, Prakash Thanikachalam and Adam Long – gained 10 A* grades and another three – Dominic Brown, Zachary Harper and Joseph Pritchard– gained an outstanding 11 A* grades.
