Preston’s Moor Park Sixth Forms students have done themselves and their school proud again.
The achievements made by students this year were described as excellent and the summer of 2016 is again one for celebration.
Outstanding results proved that their hard work and determination over the past year paid off.
The vast majority of A level students at the Deepdale centre met their targets and have exciting times ahead starting university courses, apprenticeships, or jobs of their choice.
The A level results overall are also were “outstanding and a marginal improvement on last year’s results.”
With a pass rate remaining very high at over 98 per cent staff congratulated the student, especially those who achieved straight A*/A grades in all subjects.
Headteacher Peter Cunningham said: “The excellent pass rate reflects the hard work and commitment of the students as well as their teachers and the improvement on the previous year shows the sixth form which opened in 2013 is developing very well.”
Anne King, the head of sixth form, said how proud she was that all the students taking BTECs also achieved ‘Distinction Stars’ and added: “As a result we have once again achieved 100 per cent progression into Higher Education, Apprenticeships or employment”.
