A dinosaur named Eureka was let loose in Preston Indoor Market.
Youngsters and parents were able to meet the lifesize creature at the free event, and could have photographs taken with Eureka.
Those feeling brave could even pet the giant dinosaur in the city centre.
The robot was accompanied by children’s entertainer Alan Horne as he controls Eureka.
Earlier this year, he also brought the B-4 robot to Preston Market.
Markets manager Dave Bullock described the dinosaur as a “really unique attraction”, and said Eureka had been fed before meeting families – in case she got hungry.
He added: “As well as Eureka, the market offers value for money on an eclectic mix of sales and businesses.”
