Derian House is throwing open its doors for its first ever Open Day.
The children’s hospice in Astley Village, near Chorley, is hosting the event as part of its 21st birthday celebrations on Sunday, July 27.
Between 10am and 4pm, there will be tours around the house and lodge as well as taster sessions of reiki, aromatherapy and reflexology, and demonstrations of support systems on offer to children throughout the North West.
Chorley Silver Band will perform, there will be street and Highland dancing, a craft and gifts fair, and rides.
Susie Poppitt, head of fundraising, said: “With a major refurbishment last year, and an exciting new sensory facility and soft play area recently installed, it will allow us showcase our wonderful new facilities, and demonstrate a range of sensory and play activities which enhance specialist play through sound, light and texture.”
