The deadline to get involved with a Town Hall festive competition is fast approaching.

Following last year’s Christmas card competition, Wyre Council is once again inviting residents to submit their favourite winter photographs of the borough.

The winning photo will adorn the front of the council’s corporate Christmas card and all the photos entered will feature in an online exhibition.

Photos must show winter scenes, taken in Wyre by the people who live there.

Garry Payne, chief executive of Wyre Council, said: “Last year we received some fantastic photographs including people, places, buildings and animals. Judging entries was made all the more difficult by the quality, range and subject matter.

Photographs can portray any kind of winter scene but must be clearly recognisable as being in Wyre. The deadline for entries is Thursday, November 22. For further information and to enter visit wyre.gov.uk/christmas.
